U.S. Exceeding in Oil Production – SD, MHR, KOG

The declaration by the International Energy Agency that the U.S. will exceed Saudi Arabia in oil production by 2020 is indication to the power of technology to modify an industry. The U.S. is raising so-called tight oil reserves by digging up the oil through hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling.

Within 10 years, U.S. oil bring in will plunge to about 4 million barrels a day from a present average of 10 million. According to the IEA, the U.S. will drive 11.1 million barrels of oil a day in 2020 and 10.9 million in 2025. Those figures are 500,000 barrels and 100,000 barrels higher, correspondingly, than its estimates for Saudi Arabia for those years.
